Jeffrey Baker is a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., leading the firm’s affordable housing lending practice within the Municipal Capital Markets group. Under Mr. Baker’s oversight and guidance, the affordable housing team originates, structures, underwrites and closes both tax-exempt and taxable debt solutions on income-restricted assets nationwide, including private placement executions for new construction and preservation transactions, acquisition bridge loans, permanent balance sheet loans and bespoke leveraged products for affordable housing investors. Since joining the group in 2017, he increased DB’s total originations volume to over $10 billion, which represents more than 50,000 units of either newly created or preserved affordable housing.  Prior to DB, Mr. Baker held various positions at PNC Bank and BB&T Bank, now known as Truist Bank, with a focus upon not only new capital originations, but also the preservation of portfolio value via asset management and workout undertakings.

Mr. Baker holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, as well as various FINRA securities licenses (Series 7, SIE, 24, 52, 53, 63, and 79).
