Mueller Schwartz
Emily Mueller Schwartz is Assistant Director of Policy and Research at the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA). In this role, Emily oversees IHDA’s legislatively mandated planning and reporting activities, leads policy development for the agency’s programming, and supervises a team of researchers who investigate trends and policies in affordable housing. She also oversees the implementation of many of the agency’s supportive housing initiatives.
Prior to this role, Emily worked as City Colleges of Chicago’s Manager of Strategic Initiatives and IHDA’s Assistant Director of Community Revitalization. She has extensive volunteer and board experience across fair housing, community arts development, and refugee resettlement organizations, and holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota.
