Alexis Dunfee is the Senior Vice President of Development at Wallick Communities. As a dynamic and experienced leader, Alexis oversees all aspects of the work Wallick’s development team is advancing, from site selection and applications to financing and project close-out. Her expertise includes leveraging a broad range of federal and state resources to cultivate affordable housing production and preservation through low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) acquisitions, rehabilitations, and new construction projects.
Alexis joined Wallick as a Development Associate in 2012. Over the past twelve years, she has directly produced and managed the development cycle for nearly 6,000 units across the Midwest and North Carolina, expanding Wallick’s affordable housing portfolio by directly originating development opportunities in Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Alexis and her team lead a growing range of innovative projects that provide homes for residents in the affordable housing, senior living, and, most recently, workforce housing sectors.
Before joining Wallick, Alexis served in the City of Dublin’s Planning Department, contributing to various planning projects for the Columbus suburb. She is a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s in City and Regional Planning, both from The Ohio State University.
