Alex Marte is a Senior Development Manager at Gilbane Development Company, where he supports the company’s affordable and mixed-income housing platform, which has over 11,000 units in pre-development, construction, or under operations. Alex has over ten years of experience engaging with the communities, site and development planning, leveraging affordable housing tax credits and city and state funding sources. His notable projects at Gilbane include Linden Grove Senior Apartments in Brooklyn, New York and the Belmont Crossing multi-phase redevelopment in Washington, DC. Prior to joining the company in 2021, Alex was an underwriter at TD Bank where he managed a portfolio of affordable housing projects throughout the East Coast. He was also a project manager for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
